Annie Leibovitz is a great example as well as an inspiration to all photographers. The lighting used here is very even and also very simple. Before taking photography classes and working in the lighting studio i would have thought this picture and many other pictures by Leibovitz would be hard to imitate the lighting scenarios. After being taught how to use the lights i could definitely produce a similar lighting situation in the studio as something like this, just probably not of Meryl Streep.
